The first 400 turns of your game your empire is all alone in the new world. You must do everything to make your empire grow. This is the time in the game where you get to create the foundation of your new empire. Once you reach turn 401 several things open up for you. One big thing that opens up for your empire is you research. At turn 401 you can start to create your empires research. At this point you should convert 80% or more of all your land to plains and convert 75% or better of those plains to research hubs to start research. The more land you have in research the more research per turn you receive.

A few more helpful hints to this game to get you started out on a strong footing. You can buy land, explorer for land or take land from your enemies. At first while in protection you should buy land until you can not buy anymore land. Their is a limit. Than you should explorer for land until you come out of protection and during your next 2500 turns. Than you should start taking land by the way of force. Land is the second key element but the most important for over all score in this game after research. Land is about 80% of your empires score. The more you have the more score you have. The higher the score the higher your rank in the game. When you reach turn 401, at the start, you can start buying supplies from your local market. This is a great way to fund your empire growth - use it. After turn 1201 the World Markets open up for you and you can buy, trade and sell with other players. Use this market to make money to fund your empire and buy your goods that you have a hard tine producing. |
